244 immigrants were arrested this past week in Southern California. 191 were from Mexico and the rest from 21 other countries including Ghana, Thailand and France.

According to immigration officials the four-day sweep focus on immigrants with criminal records.  They also noted that in the past is was a lot easier to locate and capture criminal immigrants because the agency would just contact local jails and pick them up – the sanctuary cities policy has made it more difficult.
