Governor Jerry Brown Slammed Over Drought Response
Turnaround is fair game. Two weeks after Governor Jerry Brown prodded the Republican presidential candidates on climate change, this past weekend he got prodded over his response to the drought.
California Gov. Jerry Brown is not running for presidentâ€“yet, anywayâ€“but he came under fire from three Republican presidential candidates in Nevada on Saturday, as they slammed him for his policies on Californiaâ€™s drought, and for linkingÂ it to climate change.
Carly Fiorina, the former Hewlett-Packard CEO who hails from California, told theÂ Sacramento Bee that even if climate change was involved,Â â€œCalifornia has had droughts for millenniaâ€¦.And so knowing that, you would think that you would prepare for droughts by building reservoirs and water conveyance systems so that you could save the rainwater during years when thereâ€™s a lot of rain.â€
