A new Stanford University study finds that Los Angeles charter school students are making significant gains in learning compared with their district school peers.

Stanford’s Center for Research on Education Outcomes found the typical student in a Los Angeles charter school takes in the equivalent of 50 days more of learning in a year than students in traditional schools, as well as an additional 79 days of learning in math alone.
